na, u dont need no stinkin boot manager
when you install win2k it installs a new boot loader (when it starts up you'll notice it says win2k now). All you gotta do is boot from the xp cd, press r for repair. Logon to recovery console. Once in type these commands: <cdrom drive>: cd i386 copy ntdetect.com c:\ (overwrite-yes) copy ntldr c:\ (overwrite-yes) Type exit to restart the pc and you'll be dual booting once more. The reason this happens is because windows 2000 was released before windows xp and it does not recognize windows xp's registry.
