I need some advice. I’m running two wi fi networks off the one internet connection. One is just an access point and the other is a router set up to file share. I have 2 set up because I live in a share house and don’t want others sharing my files. My question is. How does the router share files? Over or through the net connection or just computer to computer ? I only ask because my internet usage has jumped up big time. Thanks for your in put

What wireless security have you implemented on the wireless router? i.e. are you using MAC filtering, and WPA2? If you haven't implemented any security to prevent outsiders from accessing your wireless connection, chances are that one of your neighbors is sponging off of your conection. As to how the computers share files/printers, the router serves as the connecting point. If no security is implemented on the router itself, then anyone within range can access the network, and any files/printers on your computer(s). ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway 15.4" Laptop, Windows 7 Ultimate (including Virtual PC/XP Mode and three VM's of Server 2008), Photoshop CS4
