Since I got Internet Explorer 8 I can no longer add to favorites correctly. When there is only one tab open, it goes into the bar across the top instead of into the normal list on the left. This worked just fine on previous versions. When there are multiple tabs open you can add the group, but not the single page you are on. Then you have to go back and remove the ones you don't want on the list. How do you tell Microsoft about this? I have gone to their help site but it's not possible to ask a specific question.

Do you have the Menu bar on? (Tools/Toolbar, choose Menu). Under Favorites, there are two choices - add to Favorites or add to Favorites Bar. Make sure you are using Favorites.

Yes, thank you Jedi Master, but the Menu bar is two rows above the Favorites button that I'm having a problem with, and it doesn't seem to affect this whether it's on or off. Version 8 does not have the choice called "Add to Favorites". The choices are "Add to Favorites Bar" and "Add Current Tabs to Favorites". This second choice will only add multiple tab addresses to the favorites list, rather than just the one I want to add. Then I'm stuck having to delete the ones I didn't intend to save. When I have only one tab open, this second choice is grey, and doesn't work. Previous versions did not have this problem.

Did you get this version of IE8 from Microsoft, or from your ISP (or elsewhere)?
Also, do you have Google Toolbar (or someone elses) installed?
