When I open 'My Computer' then proceed to any sub-folder it opens it then freezes. I can get out of it with Ctl+Alt+Del and sometimes it will just close it and clear the screen of all but my desktop image. After a second or two the taskbar and icons all reappear. Any thoughts?

when you try to open the folders , the computer goes freezes just because of the several processes runs at the back of the computer. so you can remove the unwanted programs from the add and remove programs in the computer. check the virtual memory of the computer . run the disk defragment from the programs>accessories>system tools >disk defragment. update the anti virus and scan the computer. ---------------------------------------------- computer support, computer repair
