Lets see. I have an Emachines W3503 Desktop using an Intel D101GGC motherboard with a built in sound card and have tried every patch that Intel, Emachines and ATI have and even tried all of their free advice on fixing my problem. Now it seems that since my computer is not under warranty I must pay closeto $150 US to send it in and have it looked at. Not going to happen (yet) So I ask you good people. If my Device manager says I have an audio device with no errors and my speakers are plugged up properly then how can the system not only not utilize it but not even recognize it? ---------------------------------------------- ~I'm a dyslexic atheist. First, when did this problem start? Was it after installing a certain program or downloading something? Next, if Device Manager shows that there aren't any problems with the soundcard, plug in some headphones into the speaker out and see if they work. If so, you've narrowed down the problem to the speakers (oh yeah...make sure that mute isn't turned on and the volume is at least set to 1/4) After doing that, if there's still a problem, let us know, especially on the above (installation of a program, etc). ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200
