Yesterday i can't uninstall the VPN software, and then google some solutions from internet. Unfortunately after refer and finish the steps recommended, the VPN software is also existed, and my network is dead... Now the current symptom is: 1. the network icon's status shows ok, but the packets sent and recieved is 0, seems it's not activated. 2. from hardware->device manager->Network Adapter->Via Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter shows ok. It seems there is something wrong is register. Is there any solution to recover my network except reinstalling the whole OS??? (it's really time consuming to backup many things and reinstall OS and manay softwares) the following is what i have modified in the register by the command "regedit". (What a stupid thing is i forget to backup the register information.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SOFTWARE\Cisco Systems\VPN Client HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SOFTWARE\Deterministic Networks HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{3E5562ED-69AB-4CEC-91E2-64E18EC5ACC6} HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\DE2655E3BA96CEC4192E461EE85CCA6C C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\VPN Client (can't removed completely ) C:\Program Files\Common Files\Deterministic Networks c:\windows\system32\drivers\dne2000.sys (copy it back again later,Does it matter??) c:\windows\system32\drivers\cvpndrv.sys (copy it back again later,Does it matter??)
