Just a few days ago i started crashing in a few computer games i have such as Call of Duty or World of warcraft. I just found this website while looking on google. I notices that something was wrong with DirectX after getting messages that it was not working allright. I checked on Dxdiag and there i found that something was wrong. The file nv4_disp.dll is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer. The file sthda.sys is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer. I really don't know what to do here and im not gonna do anything until i get the right advice. I am no computer "geek" so please if you can help me deal with my problem ;P.

I'm assuming (from the nv4_disp.dll file) that you have an nVidia video card. Have you installed the most recent drivers? Also, are you overclocking your system in any way? ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200

If you have a nVidia video card, from nVidia's website (www.nvidia.com). Just make sure that my guess at your video card is correct though. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200

If the audio is built into the motherboard, there are a couple of things you can do. If your computer is made by Dell, HP, etc., check their site for updates. If it's a "custom" built system, check the motherboard mfgr's site. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200
