Hi, I have two computers (both running XP) sharing an internet connection through a wireless router. Both computers are wired to the router. I am attempting to set up a simple network between the two computers to share files and printers. I have tried to use the network setup wizard multiple times. On the first computer (or PC1, if you will), i can only see PC1 in the workgroup computers. On PC2 I can see both computers, but when I try to access PC1 it gives me the error: "PC1 is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The network path was not found." Also, while i was trying to fix this problem, I somehow created a new problem on PC1. Every once in a while, the computer will lose access to the internet. When I open my browser, it brings up a connecting window, as if I had dial-up. This problem is temporarily fixed be disabling the network and then enabling it. I know very little about networking, and would be greatful for any advice. Also, kind of off topic, how can I make make my windows files acessible from a different operating system (linux)? I can see them, but i don't have premission to open them.
