So I have live and when I am playing sometimes my sister wants to go online on the computer. So I am asking can I do this: My dsl runs runs all the lights except the ethernet light when we are online on the computer, so when the USB is off my internet doesnt work (when I play live) So if I got a router and hooked up an ethernet cord to the router back to the dsl and the xbox to the ethernet to the router could we be on at the same time even though my internet I think runs on usb???

First, check with your ISP to see if there is any special configuration that needs to be done on the DSL modem in order to use a router. The one I have from ATT did (just had to go into the modem's setup screen and change it to Bridge mode). Beyond that, if you use a router, you can hook up both the computer and XBox to the router and utilize the internet connection at the same time. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200

Does your computer have an ethernet card? Most either have a built-in ethernet port, or you can easily add a card. Additionally, most DSL modems will have an ethernet port in addition to a USB out. Check yours. If need be, post the specifics on your DSL modem and ISP. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200
