hey i was stupid enogh to accept a RAR file from a friends user on msn live msngr. i unpacked it thinking it was some pics... ever since ive been receiving and been sending tones of infected rar files thru my msn. i had some crashes aswel. i tried to use all the spyware and antivirus i could find but nothing helps it keeps on installing itself over and over... if you know what to do or were to turn ill be greatfull! you can also mail me: bentmy@gmail.com the path where the virus keeps installing itself: D:\System Volume Information\_restore{cd5456f7-4dc1-4069-a6e1-e341d368f4f8}\RP516

There are multiple posts here regarding the related variants on this virus/worm. The kicker is that there's no one definite solution. In researching this, the most prominant solution is to have to do a complete reformat/reinstall of everything. Check thru the posts, but you may be looking at doing a complete reformat/reinstall of everying to get rid of this little bugger. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200

My antiviurs blocked it. Although I keep getting the st*pid person asking for me to look at their pictures. My friends computer is frozen until she installs a clean windows. However, this thing or person can sign into her msn and keep delivery to people. She is not on but that someone else gets onto her messenger. Then sends me the im. I stay on yahoo mssnger so they cant download to file to me. Im tagging along to see what if anything she needs to do with messenger when shes up and running. By the way, the virus that tried to upload was win32/weapbot.a. I notice the other name for the weapbot.f is win32.checkitout!
