What antivirus software do you have installed? ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200

Check out the instructions here http://www.happy-messaging.com/messenger/virus/ BTW, your "friend" should only be running one antivirus. I'd recommend NOD32 over all others. Norton is about the WORST available. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200

I did another Google search for downloader.agent (something that anyone can do) and found several references. Some saying that the only way to get rid of it is to do a total reformat, others with removal instructions. Do a Google for the above - first, follow some of the suggested removal instructions. If that doesn't help, then you're looking at doing a reformat to get rid of the bugger. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200

Just remember to use a RELIABLE antivirus/antimalware application. Hint - Symanted ISN'T reliable. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200
