Hey ive discovered a random computer on my network with the name THOMPSON. It is nothing to do with any of the computers in my house. Also this computer isnt coming up on my router page its just showing my 2 computers.
Heres a screenshot of the unknown computer

If there is anyone that can help me try and identify what this computer is it would be much appreciated.

Are you running a wireless network? If so, then this person is sponging off of you. Depending upon your router, you can set up the security to allow only MAC addresses (that's the "physical" address of a network card) you designate.
To find out a computer's MAC address, go to the command prompt and type "ipconfig /all" without the quotes. It'll show the MAC address. Write it down and under the router's setup page, you can put in what MAC addresses you want to allow.

WEP is easy to crack. Which router do you have? If it supports WPA2, utilize that, and also employ MAC address filtering. The documentation that came with your router should explain that.
Any questions, let us know which router (make/model number) you have and I'll see what I can find.
