I'm new and not that network savy yet, so i figured this was the place to go. What's the difference between the network authentication being open and being shared? What would be the optimal one for runing 4 computers on? Thanks! Jake

Not sure what you're looking for, but here goes. Use a router and connect all to the router. Use the same Workgroup name. This is known as a peer to peer network. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D200 and D100
