I am doing the easy link connect and I get to the step where I have the cable connected to the internet port and I have the cable from the computer connected to port 1. I am now supposed to have the internet light on and port 1 light on. My problem is that all the lights flash on and off. When I have one cable in the internet port then the internet light is on just fine, but when I put the cable in port 1 the flashing comes on. Also, when I put the cable in port 1 first that light comes on just fine, but then I put the other in the internet port and then the full out flashes start. I get to this point in the setup, and can't go further because no router is found as the my wrt54g has all its lights flashing on and off. Thanks Michael. P.S. - I have resetted the router by holding in reset for 30 seconds. - I have internet when connected from computer to modem.

Your best bet might be to give Linksys a call. It may be that the router itself is bad.
