Hi I am Erwin and just found this forum.
I have browsed trough some treads that might be of interest to my problem, but it seems I have one of a kind. Or don't we always feel that way.
Anyhow. I have two desktops and one laptop all running MS XP sp2. They are connected (wired) with a linksys router and I am on a Comcast highspeed cable connection. I can always connect to whatever website I want but my own website gives me problems. (www.nlms.info)
Everyday it hapnens that I can not connect. But then with no reason I can connect just fine. It is on and off. Sometimes all is fine for hours and somtimes it is down. Also my subdomains ig. www.csxaccayard.nlms.info have this problem.
Also when I can not connect trough MS IE7 I can also not access the email acounts from the server (epvanbeveren@nlms.info) in MS Outlook Express. My comcast email works fine, it is only the email at the nlms.info
And finaly in MS Frontpage 2003 I can not connect to my server to upload or publish files to my website.
My ISP (Comcast) and webserver (Vistapages) both claim that there is nothing wrong on their end.
When I do a "tracert" after I noticed I can not connect, it does not leave my computer. It shows:
Unable to resolve target system name www.nlms.info.
How ever this hapnens on all three computers. Although mostly on all three at the same time I did notice somtimes it works on one but not on the other, and all at random.
I am thinking about completly formating and reinstalling software on one computer but since it hapnens on all three, I don't think it is a computer problem perse. I just don't know where to look no more.
Maybe somebody can help me out?
I have done:
clean up of harddisk (scandisk and defrag)
updated XP and IE (6 to 7)
removed cookies
deleted history
deleted temp internet files
virus scan etc.
I hope I have provided enough info, let me know if you need more info to answer this tread.
PS my "trouble" websites, the last 6 are subdomains: (Murphy law, they work now of course)
