| Check the motherboard mfgr's website to see if they have drivers for this. | Buddy, I have the same problem. While installing Windows Server 2008, it asks me for Primary IDE Channel driver. I went to the device manager of Windows XP by right clicking on My computer>Manage>Device Manager. I right clicked my IDE Primary Controller and looked at its properties. It is working fine. And when I clicked driver details, I got the path where it is installed. I tried direct Window Server to this directory, but it shows no device driver found. I also searched on my Windows XP Disk and Driver CD, no result. There is no resource in web where I can find the driver for IDE Channel. If you bought a legal copy of Windows, Go to Microsoft's office and ask to them, Where I can find this thing. If you can find it, pls reply to me.
