Hi, i'm having the same problem, with my MSN log in the same Error code, comes up my wife can't log on but, our kids and I can. we tried to download a new version, we even changed our ZoneAlarm, nothing seems to work so if anyone has any ideas, please submit them, there seems to be a lot of this error occuring all over the place. someone said it had to do with the amount of users, but we went from 5 to 2 and still no change. Thanks!

Hay!!! EveryOne listen up!!! I FINNALY CRACKED AND SOLVED THE PROBLEM AND CODE. All u have to do is: uncheack the "remember me" and the "remember my p@ssword" thingy and re-type ur "username" and "p@ssword" again, And click "sign in". WAIT... For about 2,5 min. Then a new window will pop-up, and there will be a button saying "Troubleshooter", Click on that button, and then another window will pop-up saying "Windows Live Messenger Connection TroubeShooter" You will then see in that window, a list of "Test Results" There will be listed a list that will have a list of stuff wich u need to have running good to make windows live messenger work. Slowly yet fastly you will see next to each iteam will apear a "check mark" or a "warning sign". Now the fixing part: When all of the list has a symbole next to it, then u can see wich stuff is working fine and wich have problems, if, There's more then one wich has a "warning sign" next to it thats fine. then when all the test results have a symbole next to them click "Repair" ( if one of the iteams has a "warning sign" next to it ) if not then click "restart" if so, then click the button then. wait.. 1,2 min. and when its finished close the window and u should see that ur windows messenger is trying to log in again wait and there u go!!! TIP: Key Ports is the most common problem. Thank u!! thank u!! If this dosent work then go ask someone els. lol. 99.1 % this works it has to!!. PSP: if while it is trying to repair the problem then it sayes "it has a problem and needs to close and don't send a error report!. if that happens then theres a problem with ur internet. thx for reading. i hope u can have help from my experienc!!!.[img][/img]
That worked for me once. But it hasn't worked on another computer that I use. I also tried the troubleshooting and repair... no luck. I uninstalled live messenger and re-installed it, no luck. I removed the entries from the registry and deleted the Messenger folder from : C:\Documents and Settings\userid\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft Nothing has fixed this!!!

I have been having the same problem not being able to sign in I have tried all the obvious things mentioned above like re-installing and checking my firewalls but to no avail, I have tried going back to 3 weeks ago when I could get on but still no luck, tried going back to an older version and nothing, even my yahoo wont sign in, im at my wits end because its been 3 weeks now and I am no closer to finding out what the problem is Any suggestions anyone I have tried just about everything I can think of, was working fine one minute then next minute gone Help!!
