One of many possibilities. Before this started, did you install a new program, download something from the internet, visit a malicious website? As to the "spiel" about the graphics card, during startup, this is normal for nVidia cards (shows the model of the card). It sounds like one of two possibilities: 1. Major virus/worm attack thats damaged your operating system 2. Possible hardware failure Suggest you first try to reformat and reinstall WinXP. Yes, you'll lose all your data, but unless your willing to spend several hundred dollars for data recovery.... This will wipe out everything, including any viruses/malware.
