That's not exactly true... you can do it by creating an ERD disk, using PM7 to resize the existing partition, create a new partition at the beginning of the disk, install Win98SE to the new partition, boot up with the ERD disk, repair the boot sector so that it uses the NT boot loader, restart, boot into Win98SE or WindowsXP from the menu.

This is definatly not for the faint of heart, nor the newbie... and as always make sure you backup first...

Nope, unfortunately not. A lot of programs decide to store various settings in the registry and those need to be in there for each install. Also some applications install differently on 98 and XP, like virus scanners for instance.
