First, I'd recommend that you use a router - ICS is a pain in the rear. For the WinXP machine, you specifically have to designate which folders are to be shared. I believe the same is true for Win98, but I haven't used that since Win2000 came out. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, ATi Radeon 8500; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D2Hs and D100

I love it when people blame MS for everything... ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, ATi Radeon 8500; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D2Hs and D100

SO sorry I offended you. I deal with a lot of people that, when something goes wrong with their computer, they instantly blame MS. The last time I tried to network WinXP and Win98, it was a total pain in the butt (wound up putting WinXP on the Win98 machine, and all worked fine). That being said, I'd suggest posting the question at MS's WinXP newsgroups. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/newsgroups.mspx ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, ATi Radeon 8500; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D2Hs and D100
