When did this start happening? What IE version do you have, is it the default (ie 5.5)? If youve updated it (to ie6 or ie5 sp2) you can go to add/remove programs, double click on ms ie x.x, and choose repair, if it finds any bad files restore them.

I would use msconfig (start > run > msconfig) to extract the ie shell files.

The files are shell32.dll, explorer.exe, browseui.dll, mshtml.dll, shdocvw.dll, they should have have the same version/date.

Or you could rename iemigrat.dll in the windows/system folder, and reinstall windows me. if you dont rename this file, the ie is not changed.
