Are you looking to get on a beta test, or just to have the beta code? If you are just interested in playing around with it, Longhorn will be pretty widely avalible (closer to its beta release). If you can get an MSDN subscription you'll get a lot of the windows betas (service packs and OS releases), but those are not in the picture for most high schoolers. If you honestly want to beta test, you should probably try to get on a service pack beta first. Since you sent your betareq letter, you're well on your way. Also keep an eye out for sites that give out guest IDs. Do a good job in the betas. Microsoft will be a lot more likely to pick you for one of their testers if you have a good track record, and smaller betas are the place to get started (they are more fun, too, in my opinion). I know that's not much, but that's the little advice I can give you. You might go to http://beta.microsoft.com and sign in with the Guest ID: betareq, but I don't know if it will be any better than submitting the email you already did. Good luck! Todd
