It sounds like there losing there credentials. But this is a domain - you're job is to troubleshoot the domain. You should know how to use netmon to get network traces, and basic things like that. On the xp cd's is a program called netcab or something thatll work like netmon. But either way your getting paid good money to troubleshoot the network, the buck stops with you.
